An absolute rarity, this Alpina B3 allrad Touring in the always brilliant colour Alpina Green with Leather Dakota Veneto Beige. Our example has only 60,000 km original and comes from the first German owner. The N55 engine from BMW has been heavily modified with for example another aluminium crankshaft. The intake is flow and cross-section optimized, while another intercooler and oil coolers ensure that the six-in-line does not get too hot. One turbo wasn't enough for Alpina, so the three-litre six-in-line gets two blowers. This explains the considerable increase in power of about 100 bhp. The suspension in the Alpina B3 gives confidence and feels like it has been given real attention. Alpina's years of experience in building cars that real customers can handle on the road, pays off. In Comfort mode, the suspension (Bilstein) and adaptive damping have everything under control. In Sport (and Sport+) everything gets a bit firmer, but a lot of comfort remains.
